LaMoure County commissioners set a minimum price for a delinquent parcel, appointed county fair delegates, heard an extension report and approved claims during their Oct. 15 meeting.
The board set the minimum sale price for a property deeded to the Jude Cafe Association at 520 Logie St., Jud (legal: N1/2 Lot 6 and Lot 7, Block 5, Original Jud) at $1,028.97 and noted a $20 recording fee if the parcel sells at the Nov. 19 sale.
Torie Piehl of the NDSU Extension office reported that a joint LaMoure, Barnes and Dickey County camp served 27 youth at LaMoure County Memorial Park; local 4‑H members also participated in the North Dakota State Fair and helped host a summer 3‑D archery shoot with the James River Sportsman’s Club.
Commissioner Heidinger moved to appoint Eric Lahlum and Julianne Racine as LaMoure County State Fair delegates; the motion carried. The board also approved payment of the claims presented by motion, and Chairman Jason Weigel adjourned the meeting at 11:20 a.m.
Next steps: the delinquent‑property sale is scheduled for Nov. 19 if not redeemed; appointed delegates and extension staff will follow up on fair and 4‑H activities.
