LaMoure County commissioners rescind burn restrictions and approve routine business

The LaMoure County Board of County Commissioners voted Nov. 7 to rescind the county’s Fire Emergency and Burn Restrictions and approved a set of routine administrative items, the board’s minutes show.
The five-member board approved the motion to rescind the restrictions after Commissioner Bruce Klein moved the motion and Commissioner Keith Heidinger seconded; the motion passed with all voting aye. The board also approved a 2025 Youthworks Shelter Services Agreement, authorized application for a Court Facilities Improvement Grant to replace an obsolete court printer, and voted to pay the vendor warrants presented and reimburse two employees for sales tax paid.
Clerk of Court Billi Warcken asked the board to apply for the Court Facilities Improvement Grant to purchase a color printer and cartridges; the estimated total cost is $1,492.95, with a grant request of $1,119.71 and a county share of $373.24. Commissioner Robert Flath moved to apply for the grant and Commissioner Keith Heidinger seconded; the board voted unanimously to proceed.
Commissioner Keith Heidinger moved to approve the 2025 Youthworks Shelter Services Agreement; Commissioner Bruce Klein seconded and the board voted to approve the agreement. Later in the meeting, Commissioner Heidinger moved and Commissioner Lee Miller seconded a motion to pay the bills presented and reimburse two employees for sales tax paid; that motion carried unanimously.
The meeting record lists vendor warrants for numerous line items presented for payment. Chairman Jason Weigel adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
