LaMoure County commissioners approve off-site permit for Horseshoe Saloon event at county memorial park

The LaMoure County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 12 approved an off-site permit for the Horseshoe Saloon to hold an event at the LaMoure County Memorial Park Auditorium on Sept. 14, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The approval came at a special meeting called to order at 8:00 a.m. by Chairman Jason Weigel. Commissioner Bruce Klein moved to approve the permit pending the State's Attorney's approval; Commissioner Keith Heidinger seconded the motion. State's Attorney Kelly Fallon said she had reviewed the permit and that it "looked good." The board voted, with all voting commissioners recorded as "aye," and the motion carried.
The meeting minutes list Commissioners Lee Miller, Bruce Klein and Keith Heidinger as attending virtually; Auditor Jan Hamlin attended in person. Chairman Weigel adjourned the special meeting at 8:09 a.m. The written minutes include signatures showing the minutes were approved Sept. 17, 2024, by Chairman Jason Weigel and attested by Auditor Jan Hamlin.
