Chair Jean Bustamante called the consent list and commissioners moved to approve items 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 21 as a package; the motion carried on a voice roll call. Separately, the commission heard and approved staff recommendations for Article 2 (a laundry/self‑service business in District 9), Article 5 (amendment to neighborhood commercial for a small site), Article 7 (amendment as amended for a small retail/office use), Article 10 (conditional use for large‑vehicle storage in a commercial/industrial area), Article 14 (East Murdle Street rezoning to NC), Article 17 (wireless communications site) and Article 20 (auto‑body/paint shop in Brooks area) after staff and applicant presentations and limited public comment.
Staff repeatedly noted environmental and buffering recommendations for approvals and reminded applicants that approvals at the commission recommend the items to Council; final decisions are made by the City Council. The minutes were approved as presented (one abstention recorded) and the meeting adjourned at 4:14 p.m.
