At the close of the Dec. 8 meeting, resident Mel Pittman addressed the board during public comment, reporting on a tour of Ridge Breeze and describing a possible dam on the north side. Pittman said there did not appear to be interest in an infiltration pond and suggested placing rock to address stormwater runoff.
Pittman also told the board that county dispatch and jail staff are running short; he raised other county items including an open 4-H director position, care of soldiers' graves, and a scheduled increase in vehicle license fees beginning Jan. 2026. The board recorded Pittman's comments in the minutes but did not take formal action at the meeting.
Chairman Jerry F. Duden and other board members acknowledged the public comment; no follow-up assignments or votes were recorded in the meeting minutes.
