At the Nov. 10 meeting the Maiden Rock Town Board approved an Acrobat Pro subscription (approximate cost $240 per year) to improve document-editing capabilities and discussed a requested $500 limit on a newly requested debit card from Hiawatha National Bank for security. The board also scheduled Big Dumpster Day for May 9, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Clerk/Treasurer Carla R. Schuster reported a leaking toilet in the women's bathroom; Chairman Jerry F. Duden said he would follow up on that maintenance issue. Cole Kangas was identified as overseeing maintenance tasks and ensuring vehicles are ready for plowing.
During public comment, Terry Timm said he had spoken with an Amish resident and asked the board to pursue signs on County CC; he also suggested placing a sign at the Maiden Rock/Union township line. Timm additionally raised concerns about expansion at Maiden Rock Cemetery; Supervisor Allen White, who sits on the cemetery board, said he would follow up at that group's next meeting.
The minutes record motions to accept the Acrobat Pro subscription (motion by John Danneker; seconded by Allen White) and to set the dumpster day; both motions carried without recorded opposition.
