Maiden Rock reviews storm damage, road maintenance and planning commission vacancy

Town Chairman Jerry F. Duden reported at the Aug. 11 Maiden Rock meeting that grading is underway and crews are working on storm cleanup after many trees came down, particularly in the Warrentown area. He said roads are ready to be marked for rock application.
Duden also noted soffit damage to a town building and said he will contact a contractor, Whitetail, to arrange repairs. The town’s salt shed needs work, the board recorded, and a bid for parking-lot blade patching will be deferred until spring.
On planning, the board said the Planning Commission met Aug. 4 and is seeking a volunteer to replace Char Randers, who stepped down. The board also noted an upcoming Pepin Township meeting in September featuring presenter Lisa Doerr about an Operation Ordinance Study and said Stockholm Township continues to move forward with that work.
The clerk read incoming letters and permits, including a zoning permit for a residential alteration at 4321 120th Ave (Ed Rohl). A resolution regarding authority bonds for business loans was held for the next month’s agenda.
