Otter Tail Power tells LaMoure County JetX transmission will require 150-foot easements

Project managers Chris Cook and Todd Langston of Otter Tail Power updated the LaMoure County board Aug. 6 on the JetX transmission project, saying the route through the region will be roughly 92 miles and will use about four to six structures per mile. The managers said work will start in the Ellendale area and progress north; property owners in the path should expect requests for approximately 150-foot-wide easements.
Cook and Langston presented the basic project footprint and structure density but did not present finalized route maps or acquisition timelines in the minutes. The board received the update and did not take a formal action at the meeting.
County staff and landowners will likely be contacted for easement negotiations if the project proceeds through county property or private land within LaMoure County.
