At the March 6 meeting, the Southampton Township Land Development Board agreed to carry the Bamboo Gardens use‑variance application for 134 Landing Street (case 24-903-901) after Mr. Lange reported receipt of a March 5 letter from the applicant’s attorney, Mr. Brennan, requesting a continuance to an unspecified future date.
The board voted to carry the application on the condition that the applicant provide appropriate notice to newspapers and to residents within 200 feet. The motion to carry was made by Mr. Kavanagh and seconded by Chairman Magazzo; the motion recorded ayes from Ms. Conover, Mr. Coyle, Mr. Kavanagh, Mr. Keebler, Chairman Magazzo, Mr. Mattio and Mr. Dehoff.
During the same portion of the meeting, resident Mr. Tippin of 140 Landing Street asked about enforcement actions related to 134 Landing Street. Board Solicitor Mr. Lange advised that the Land Development Board does not have enforcement jurisdiction over the matter and recommended Mr. Tippin seek assistance from the Township Committee.
