The Southampton Township Land Development Board on Feb. 5 voted to deem the Southampton Township School’s proposed annex project — which would demolish the existing bus garage and erect an annex building in its place — consistent with the township Master Plan.
Superintendent Megan Geibel spoke to the board about the district’s proposal while Board Planner Mr. VanBernum reviewed ERI’s draft review letter; Board Engineer Mr. Noll and Board Solicitor Mr. Lange were present for the review. The board opened the matter for discussion, closed the discussion with no public comment, and then voted.
The motion to deem the capital project consistent with the Master Plan was moved by Mr. Kavanagh and seconded by Mr. Dehoff. The board recorded ayes from Mr. Harrison, Mr. Heston, Mr. Kavanagh, Mr. Keebler, Chairman Magazzo, Mr. Mattio and Mr. Dehoff. The motion passed. The board’s finding is a consistency determination and does not itself authorize construction permits, approvals of final plans, or building permits, which remain subject to any applicable site plan or permitting processes.
The board considered ERI’s draft review and accepted testimony from the superintendent; there was no public comment during the portion of the meeting addressing the school annex. Next procedural steps for the district were not specified in the board record other than the consistency finding.
The consistency determination was recorded as part of the board’s handling of Resolution 2026.07 (Southampton Township School – Courtesy Review, Annex Building).
