Atkinson opens Sun 'n Fun summer camp registration March 31 for residents

The Atkinson Recreation Commission confirmed details for Sun ’n Fun 2026 at its March 16 meeting: a six-week day camp running June 29 through Aug. 7, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with no camp on July 3. The program will accept 60 spots divided among Campers (ages 6–11), Jr. CITs (12–13) and CITs (14–15).
Staff member Noriko said online registration via RecDesk will open March 31 for Atkinson residents and May 4 for non-residents. The commission did not provide fee amounts in the minutes; no scholarships or financial-aid details were recorded.
The commission asked staff to be prepared to manage registration and notify residents through established RecDesk channels.
The commission will revisit program logistics if demand exceeds capacity.
