The Atkinson Recreation Commission approved its 2026 operating budget and unanimously approved a $400 logo design purchase at its March 16 meeting at the Atkinson Community Center.
The action was recorded during the commission’s New Business discussion. Chairman Cris moved to approve the February minutes earlier in the meeting; Committee member Tricia seconded the motion, which passed 5-0-0. Later, the commission voted 5-0-0 to authorize Megan Walsh Design to produce an Atkinson Recreation logo for $400 to be paid from the recreation revolving account.
The minutes state the operating budget “passed” but provide no roll-call or tally for that item; the record also notes there is no extra funding available for program or maintenance line items because of an increase to Staff member Noriko’s pay. The minutes do not specify the dollar amount of the pay adjustment.
The votes leave routine program and maintenance funding at current levels while committing a small, one-time charge for branding. The commission scheduled follow-up administrative work and will reconvene on April 14.
The commission’s next meeting is set for Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Community Center.
