Lyon County approves 71W bridge plans; resurfacing complete from George to county line

Randy Hage, assistant to the engineer, presented plans for the county’s 71W bridge project and the Lyon County Board of Supervisors approved the plans on a motion by Supervisor Doug Vanden Bosch, seconded by Supervisor Cory Altena.
County Engineer Daryl Albertson told the board that resurfacing work is finished from George to the county line and that the bridge east of George is expected to be out for letting in August.
The approvals advance county road work and the bridge project toward letting and construction; the engineer’s office will proceed with the next steps in the project schedule.
