The Marion County Board of Commissioners voted March 25 to accept an appeal of a hearings officer’s decision denying Administrative Review Case #25-026, filed by or concerning Denise Burnham. Commissioner Kevin Cameron moved to accept the appeal and to set a public hearing for a later date; Commissioner Danielle Bethell seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to carry it.
Public Works staff introduced the matter during the action portion of the agenda. The motion as recorded directed county staff to schedule a public hearing at a later date; the board did not set a specific hearing date during the March 25 session.
The board’s action restores the matter to the board-level hearing process. No substantive decision on the underlying land-use or administrative issues was made at the March 25 meeting; the record shows the appeal was accepted and a hearing will be scheduled.
