Winside Board approves financial claims, $50,000 lunch-fund transfer, weight‑room guidelines and winter coaches list

The Winside Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved multiple routine fiscal and personnel actions at its Nov. 10 meeting, including October financial reports and a $50,000 transfer to the district lunch fund.
The board voted to accept financial reports and claims that totaled $703,330.42 for the General Fund (which includes a reported $200,000 inter‑fund loan to the Special Building Fund), $259,938.94 for the Special Building Fund, $118,012.50 for G.O. bonds, $15,938.75 for the QCPUF bond and $30,499.24 for the Lunch Fund. Diane Frederick moved the motion to approve the financial reports and claims; Tarrin Quinn seconded it. The motion passed with all trustees voting aye (Jon Jaeger, Zachary Brokaw, Diane Frederick, Tarrin Quinn, Kate Falk and Landon Grothe).
Separately, the board approved a motion by Zachary Brokaw, seconded by Kate Falk, to transfer $50,000 from the General Fund to the Lunch Fund; the vote was unanimous. Administrators said the transfer was recorded in the October claims review.
Board members also approved guidelines for public use of the districts former weight room. Kate Falk moved the guideline resolution, which passed after a second from Landon Grothe; trustees voted unanimously to adopt the use rules.
The board further approved the presented list of paid and volunteer coaches for the upcoming winter sports season. The motion was made by Tarrin Quinn and seconded by Diane Frederick and carried on a unanimous roll call.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed without dissent. The board listed the approved consent agenda earlier in the meeting, which included corrected minutes from Oct. 13, a Nov. 3 workshop report and option enrollments for the 2025—6 school year.
