River Bluff board notes plantings for 250th, welcomes new residents and posts US-42 yard sale

The River Bluff Mayor-Commission Board used part of its April 28 meeting for routine community updates, approving a small invoice, welcoming new neighbors and reviewing seasonal beautification plans.

Why it matters: These items affect neighborhood upkeep and resident communications—plantings and irrigation preserve public spaces, the website payment keeps municipal information online, and posting community events helps resident outreach.

Commissioner Lynn Grossman said the irrigation system passed inspection with no issues. To mark the nation’s 250th anniversary and complement patriotic banners, she ordered red, white and deep purple wave petunias; Art Tobe will coordinate pickup and installation in the coming weeks. Grossman also reported that 18 of 22 perennial daisies returned this spring and will work with Goodwin Greenhouse to replace the four that did not.

Clerk Katie Buhts presented $108.21 payable to Honeywick LLC for two months of website hosting. Commissioner Lynn Grossman moved to approve the expense; Commissioner Paulette Bryant seconded. The roll-call vote was unanimous in favor.

Commissioner Paulette Bryant reported that 13408 Apple Tree remains uninhabited but landscaping activity is underway and she welcomed Andrew and Olivia Page to 13206 Creekview Road. She also researched the US-42 yard sale coordinated by the Weil team of realtors and posted the May 16 information for residents as a courtesy.

The board adjourned after these items; no further substantive votes were recorded beyond those noted above.
