River Bluff board discusses drainage repairs after heavy rainfall; culvert functioning but landscaping and pavement need fixes

A resident asked the River Bluff Mayor-Commission Board on May 26, 2026, about drainage work at River Bluff Road and Creekview. John Hicks raised the issue; Tom Sheffer said the recently installed culvert is allowing water to flow as intended but two problems remain: the repaved road surface above the culvert has settled, and the sod placed to restore landscaping has dried out and is unacceptable.
Sheffer said the contractor Temple and Temple will return to make asphalt repairs when weather permits. He also said he would work with Art Tobe to clear a large drainage easement in Picnic Hill and that two holes in drainage easements on Cherry Tree Lane will be addressed when new fiscal-year funding becomes available. The board discussed having Art Tobe spread grass seed to see if recent rainfall improves the sod before committing to further work.
