River Bluff delays drainage work, flags leaning streetlight; banners stored for winter

The River Bluff Mayor-Commission Board recorded several municipal operations updates on Jan. 27.
On drainage, Commissioner Tom Sheffer said extreme temperatures prevent current work; he will contact contractor Temple & Temple in late February to pursue root extraction in the drainage culvert located between the Hacker and Ohara properties. No work timetable or contract amendment was recorded in the minutes aside from the planned late-February follow-up.
Commissioner Paulette Bryant reported a leaning lamp post located across from Sandy Baird’s property and directed Clerk Katie Buhts to contact LG&E to request repairs. The board did not record a timeline for repairs in the minutes.
Commissioner Lynn Grossman told the board the town’s holiday lights have been removed and new banners installed; holiday banners are being stored in her basement rather than an unheated garage to protect them from harsh temperatures. Separately, Ms. Bryant reported delivering welcome gifts to three recently moved-in households (13300 Peach Tree Lane; 3500 River Bluff Road; 13416 Creekview Road) and noted two homes (13408 Apple Tree and 13206 Creekview Road) remain vacant so gifts could not yet be delivered.
Commissioner Tom Sheffer also mentioned he is considering a city-wide resident dinner event once weather permits; no date or budget was discussed.
