River Bluff will amend budget after heavy snow; amended budget and 2026–27 ordinances due in April

Clerk Katie Buhts told the Mayor-Commission Board on March 24 that the city’s financial reports show Insurance Surcharge revenue trending ahead for the fiscal year, but heavy ice and snow this winter have increased snow-removal expenditures and require a budget amendment.
Buhts said she will provide an amended budget at the April City meeting and will bring the first reading of the 2026–2027 Budget and Taxing Ordinances at that time. The board accepted the current financial reports as presented; no dollar amounts for the snow-related overruns were provided in the meeting minutes.
Board members did not take a formal vote on the amendment at the March 24 meeting; the amendment and the first reading of next year’s budget ordinances are scheduled for the April meeting and will present details on required adjustments.
