Winside Public Schools board adopts 2025–26 budget, sets final tax request

Board member Kate Falk moved to adopt the 2025–26 budget; Board member Landon Grothe seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The board’s roll-call record lists ayes from Falk, Grothe, Jaeger, Brokaw, Frederick and Quinn.
Later in the meeting, Board member Zachary Brokaw moved and Board member Tarrin Quinn seconded adoption of Resolution 90-0595 to set the district’s 2025–26 Final Tax Request. The resolution establishes these requested amounts: General fund $2,981,487.37; General Obligation Bond fund $703,996.00; Special Building fund $947,775.00; Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking fund $130,101.00. The motion passed unanimously with ayes from Jaeger, Brokaw, Frederick, Quinn, Falk and Grothe.
Board member Diane Frederick moved to end the special meeting at 5:59 p.m.; Board member Kate Falk seconded. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned.
