Finance Director Kristen Reed presented Ordinance 2841, the city’s first 2026 budget amendment. Reed said she made small changes between readings, including adding $35,000 to purchase two digital reader boards to be paid from the street fund. She explained that the IT fund transfer aligns the expense with existing IT allocation percentages. Reed also said that Fund 35 (Facilities Fund) would drop below the city's reserve policy as a result of the amendment.
Committee recommended approval and, because this was the second reading, a council member moved to approve the budget amendment. The council voted by voice and approved Ordinance 2841 on second reading.
