Winfield council approves car donation to fire department and seeks quotes for cameras at boat ramp

Dana Campbell moved to donate an unused Chevy Impala to the Winfield Fire Department for demolition at the Putnam County Homecoming on the condition that police stickers and lights be removed and painted over. The minutes record that Ryan Powers abstained from discussion and that the motion carried.
Under 'Good of the Order' Jarred Summers requested a council member join the Christmas Parade committee; Mayor Barrett encouraged attendance at the May 2, 2024 WVML board meeting at Fireside Grill; Winfield Nazarene sent a letter thanking the council for a food-bank donation; and Laura Cox presented a drawing and said she is exploring grants for the old sewer plant property. The meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
