Council also approved the General Fund and Coal Severance Fund financial statements for July 2023 and, on a motion by Scott Morris, approved the A.R.P.A. statement as presented. Separately, Ryan Powers moved to pay Precision Pump & Valve $19,281 for a panel board; that motion carried.
The minutes note that an Explorer and two Taurus vehicles were sold at auction for $9,400; the council then moved to donate an unused Chevy Impala to the Winfield Fire Department for demolition, conditioned on removing police stickers and lights. Ryan Powers abstained from that donation discussion but the motion carried.
The minutes do not include roll-call vote tallies for the financial approvals; each motion is recorded as 'motion carried.'
