Board accepts completion of sprinkler and bus-loop projects and schedules VELC groundbreaking

The board accepted completion and approved release for two facilities projects: the PHS/VEHSA Sprinkler System Project (#2425‑003) and the PHS/VEHSA Bus Loop Paving Project (#2425‑006). Director Paul Voelker moved to accept completion and release for both projects; Director Nancy Cocroft seconded and the motion carried.
Superintendent Dr. Rehn presented a CVA surplus request listing items no longer in use (two‑way radios and filing cabinets); Director Doug Elledge moved to approve the surplus request, Nancy Cocroft seconded and the motion carried.
Board members were also updated on the Valley Early Learning Center (VELC) building project: site work is already underway, a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 30 at 4:00 p.m., and the board scheduled a special meeting on Sept. 24 to consider a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) amendment.
