Director Bill Wilson called the Valley School District board to order at 6:00 p.m. Sept. 17. The board approved a consent agenda that included the August board minutes, multiple vouchers across General, CPF, TVF and Payroll funds and a slate of contracts and supplemental certificated and classified agreements.
The consent agenda listed General Fund vouchers (including #141279–#141301, #141305–#141311 and related ACH warrants) totaling $1,008,003.49; CPF vouchers totaling $179,839.35; TVF voucher #141304 for $178,523.60; and payroll warrants totaling $399,715.15. Contracts and agreements approved under the consent agenda covered cooperative agreements with NEWESD101, facilities and event agreements, special education and therapy service contracts, WSIPC IEP Online, and multiple supplemental coaching and coordinator assignments.
Jared Attridge briefly reviewed the district financial report before the vote. Director Doug Elledge moved to approve the consent agenda; Director Paul Voelker seconded and the motion carried (vote tally not specified in the minutes).
On personnel, Superintendent Dr. Rehn recommended hiring Jim Hill as a part‑time custodian and Angela Proszek as a Columbia Virtual Academy (CVA) Family and Staff Support Liaison. Director Paul Voelker moved to approve those hires; Director Nancy Cocroft seconded and the motion carried.
The meeting later included an executive session at 7:39 p.m. to evaluate the performance of a public‑school employee; the board ended the session at 8:02 p.m. and took no action. The meeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
