Valley EDGE High School Academy name announced; campus upgrades underway

VALLEY — Superintendent Dr. Mandi Rehn told the board that the district’s new program will be known as the Valley EDGE High School Academy, a name announced July 3, and described a set of campus improvements planned for the site.
Dr. Rehn said the campus work will include painting of all portables, paving the bus loop and the overflow parking lot, installing a campus sprinkler system and hydroseeding, and putting up a new building sign on Huffman Road. The superintendent also noted CVA Facebook marketing advertisements are going live this week.
Board members responded positively: Bill Wilson told the group the Facebook ad was "cool" and Crystal Hubert said the improvements "look beautiful," as recorded in the minutes.
These items were presented as administrative updates; no formal vote was required beyond the approvals recorded earlier for projects and contracts in the consent agenda.
