Architects outline timeline for site and building work on district project

VALLEY — Scott Nicks of NAC Architects presented the design development (DD) for the district’s facility project at the July 16 board meeting and provided a target construction schedule.
Nicks reviewed the DD and told the board the earliest site-construction start date is targeted for Aug. 11 and building construction is targeted to begin Oct. 6. The presentation was a high-level update; the packet and minutes list the two milestone dates as guidance for upcoming contractor scheduling.
In related facilities business the board approved acceptance of completion and release for Paideia High School Portable Paint Project #2425-005 after Superintendent Dr. Mandi Rehn recommended approval; Paul Voelker moved and Doug Elledge seconded the acceptance, and the motion carried.
Guests at the meeting included Jerry Burke with Garco Construction, who was listed among attendees; the minutes do not record extended discussion or a separate vote on the architect’s timeline beyond the presentation and acceptance of the PHS project completion.
