River Bend begins wastewater plant project and pursues state and federal grants

He also reported three grant applications had been filed: a $3,200,000 request to the North Carolina Department of Transportation for bike and pedestrian paths; a $1,600,000 request to the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management for a new water well; and a $350,000 request to the Division of Emergency Management for stormwater engineering.
At the meeting the manager presented a PowerPoint and a Gantt chart outlining the proposed timeline for the water treatment plant and wells project. He said the chart will be posted at Town Hall and updated as the project proceeds.
