During the informal public-comment period at the Sept. 10 meeting, Cherie Taylor of 702 S. Broad Street briefed the council on Robersonville Improvement Committee plans for 2024'25. She said "Music on the Corner is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, 2025 from 12:00-5:00 p.m.," with a tentative location on the south side of Railroad Street. Taylor said insurance has been purchased to cover the events and that RIC will sponsor a community yard sale in late September or early October; she also said the annual Robersonville tree lighting will be held near the end of November or the first of December.
Donald Bonds of 1290 Everetts Street raised concerns about his water bill during the same public-comment period. The council did not take action on individual billing concerns during the comment period; staff follow-up would be handled through regular departmental processes.
The announcements also included a Health Hub kickoff at the library on Sept. 11 and notices about local business openings and staff training dates shared later in the meeting.
