Residents press Turin council for Linch Road enforcement; council votes to remove Reese Road speed table and relocate it

At the May 18 meeting Rick Walker of 386 Linch Road urged the council to address speeding on Linch Road, asking for a speed table or increased law-enforcement enforcement.
Separately, Mayor Sprouse relayed a complaint from a homeowner identified only as Jean asking that a speed table on Reese Road be removed because of noise and limited purpose at that location. Councilmember Patricia Smith moved to remove the Reese Road speed table if feasible and to re-install it at another location within town; Councilmember Lydia Wallin seconded the motion and the minutes record that the motion carried.
Councilmember Alan Stapp commented during council remarks that, with new neighborhoods coming to Turin, he prefers more speed tables rather than additional stop signs and encouraged continued attention to traffic-calming across town. The minutes do not record a formal traffic-calming policy or a funding source for moving the Reese Road table; the council approved the removal/relocation motion and left implementation details to staff follow-up.
