The Jackson Planning Board on July 20 approved five resolutions memorializing variances and site‑plan extensions that had been discussed at its prior meeting and completed its annual reorganization of officers.
Staff and the board read resolutions carried from the prior meeting into the record, including Resolution 2026‑19 (a variance for a shed at Chopin Shop, Block 11503 Lot 36), Resolution 2026‑18 (a pole/coal barn variance at 8 Dante Court), Resolution 2026‑17 (an attached‑garage and covered‑porch variance at 66 Ollie Burke Road), Resolution 2026‑16 (two one‑year extensions for a mixed commercial retail complex on East Veterans Highway), and Resolution 2026‑15 (a detached‑garage variance at 5 Dante Court). Each resolution was motioned and approved by roll call.
The board confirmed the Asbury Park Press and Jersey Shore Online as the official newspapers and set regular meeting dates for the first and third Wednesday of each month, with specified exceptions in January and April. A board member asked whether the online paper was accessible to residents; staff said no written complaints had been received.
The board also completed its reorganization. Lynn Bradley was elected chair; Dr. Sheldon was elected vice chair; Mr. Jaime was re‑appointed secretary; Cristobal was named acting/alternate secretary; Kathleen was retained as recording secretary with Gina Tumalo named as the backup recording secretary. All officer nominations were moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
The board thanked staff for preparing the resolutions and noted that most items were carried forward from the prior meeting. The meeting proceeded to the applications scheduled for hearing.
The board adjourned after completing the agenda.
