Redington Shores introduces beach ambassadors and new ISPD officers; mayor credits citations with improved compliance

Reich said the program's purpose is to keep the beach clean and to educate beachgoers to protect people and wildlife; according to the transcript, the program costs the town nothing beyond supplies.
On beach enforcement, Mayor Hendrickson said she had asked Administrator McGlothlin to coordinate with Chief Swann on recurring beach issues such as dogs and e-bikes and reported that citation issuance is working. Chief Swann thanked the board for the feedback. Commissioners expressed support for continued enforcement.
