Library to install Storybook Walk after $10,000 Carnegie grant, plans to present final design to Park Advisory Board

Library Director Debbie Gibson and Library Board President Stephanie Burford told the City Commission on April 6 that the Sterling Free Public Library has received a $10,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation to install a Storybook Walk in Library Park.
Gibson said the Library has purchased the first round of books for the walk, which staff plan to change three to four times a year. The Park Advisory Board reviewed the project in February and requested the Library present final plans at its next meeting in May. Pending the Park Advisory Board's approval, the Library will present the project to the City Commission for final approval.
Library staff expressed the goal of completing installation in time for the start of the Library's Summer Reading Program. The Commission thanked Gibson and Burford for presenting the project.
