A staff member announced that Laredo ISD taxpayers will now make school tax payments at the Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office in the Dean Senator Judith Safferini Justice Center at 1110 Victoria Street.
"Laredo ISD taxpayers will now be paying their LISD taxes in a new location," the staff member said. "You will now pay your LISD taxes at the Webb County Tax Assessor Collector's Office located in the Dean Senator Judith Safferini Justice Center at 1110 Victoria Street." The staff member added that the building is the same location used for vehicle registrations and for responding to Webb County jury duty summons.
The announcement said taxpayers will receive their tax statements from the Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office. For more information about the transition, the staff member provided the LISD Office of Communications phone number, (956) 273-1730, and the Webb County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office number, (956) 523-4200.
The district did not specify an effective date for the change beyond announcing the new payment location, nor did the announcement include details on transitional arrangements for payments already in process.
