The Sublette Unified School District No. 374 Board of Education approved a revised bid to replace four auditorium entry and exit doors during a special meeting on Nov. 18, 2024. The Board met in the administrative office boardroom and the meeting was called to order at 12:03 p.m. by the Board president.
Lee Mason, a board member, moved to approve the revised bid amount to include four doors; Pete Dyck, a board member, seconded the motion. The Board voted 4-0 to accept the revised bid. The minutes state the original contractor bid covered replacement of only two doors, but the auditorium's capacity rating requires four entry/exit doors to meet applicable safety or capacity standards mentioned in the discussion.
Earlier in the special meeting the Board approved the meeting agenda on a 4-0 vote after Mason moved and Dyck seconded. The Board also approved a waiver of the meeting-notice requirement, with Dyck moving and Mason seconding; that motion likewise carried 4-0. Members present for the special session were Grant Webber, Pete Dyck, Lee Mason and Ruthie Vaughan (participating via Zoom). Superintendent Rex Richardson and Clerk Charity Ochs-Lathen were listed as in attendance. Juan Chacon, Shyree Wiswell and Cornelius Froese were absent.
With no further business, Mason moved to adjourn, Dyck seconded, and the Board adjourned by a 4-0 vote. The minutes note they are not official until approved by the Board at its next regular meeting.
