The Sublette USD No. 374 Board on Nov. 11 approved a series of personnel and operational actions, including coaching hires, resignations, surplus property sales and an athletic cooperative.
The Board approved hiring Selena Montanez as a daycare worker. It accepted the resignations of Alex White, Olivia Noah and School Resource Officer Justin Groth; Groth told the Board he is becoming a magistrate judge on Jan. 1, 2025 and said he will not have time to continue as high‑school golf coach. The Board approved Erica Leggett as head MS girls basketball coach and Alisha Waggonner as assistant; motions on the personnel items carried 6-0.
On surplus property, the district declared more than 60 Safe Defend boxes from its previous security system surplus and voted to sell them at $75 per box to help offset the cost of an upgraded system. The Board also approved a request by Groth to retain a district laptop after confirming it contained no student, faculty or staff data. Both motions passed 6-0.
The Board approved cooperation on high school golf with Satanta, which offered three players with the possibility of two more and to provide an additional coach to replace departing coach Groth; the motion carried 6-0.
Board members also approved payment of half of the ESL stipend to qualified employees; all actions were recorded with unanimous votes where motions and seconders were noted.
