Upper Providence Township planning staff reported receipt of two new plan submissions and the commission voted to accept both into the review process.
Staff described 140 Whitaker as a preliminary submission for 48 townhomes and noted the plan will enter the township's typical multi‑stage review; Kathryn Reed and other nearby residents asked the commission to examine off‑site stormwater conveyance on Whitaker and Norwood because runoff currently flows toward neighborhood garages. Staff told the commission on‑site retention is proposed and that inlets on Whitaker south of Norwood should be reviewed as part of engineering comments.
The commission also accepted a tentative sketch for a 6‑lot subdivision on Township Line Road north of Linfield Trapp and Rittenhouse Road; staff said demolition of an overgrown farmhouse is already underway. A commissioner moved to accept both plans and the motion passed; staff said both items will return in future agendas for preliminary review and recommended the applicants begin necessary outside‑agency coordination.
