Wells Branch MUD approves disbursements and $500,000 transfer to cover capital spending

Allen Douthitt of Bott & Douthitt, PLLC presented the Accounting Report at the June 16 meeting, noting the District was "a good bit" ahead of budget year to date, had nearly $670,000 in capital spending for the month, and that over 99% of the District’s 2025 tax levy had been collected through April.
Douthitt recommended Board approval of the Disbursement Report and an additional $500,000 transfer to address increased capital spending. After discussion, upon motion by Director Jon Klekman and second by Director Shelley Palmer, the Board voted unanimously to approve payment of all bills and invoices as presented and to authorize the additional $500,000 transfer.
The Board did not attach additional restrictions to the transfer; staff will process the recommended transfers in accordance with the Accounting Report.
