Trustee Nick Dobbel moved, and Michael Bissonnette seconded, to call the April 3 special meeting for interviews; the motion carried unanimously. The board approved a set of reference-check questions and decided that Trustees Michelle Swansborough and Brad Norman would make the reference calls. Ator recommended the interviews not be streamed.
At the April 3 meeting, a motion to offer Grabowska the two-year contract was made by Trustee Nick Dobbel and seconded by Trustee Michael Bissonnette; the motion carried with the full board voting yes (Swansborough, Dobbel, Bertolino, Bissonnette, Norman). The minutes state that any counters to the offer are to be discussed with Trustees Dobbel and Bissonnette and reviewed at the next meeting.
The board recorded attendance and held the Pledge of Allegiance at each special meeting. Both meetings were chaired by Michelle Swansborough and included Superintendent Alex Ator and Business Manager/Clerk JaLayne Obert. The April 1 meeting adjourned at 5:13 p.m.; the April 3 meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
