The Roberts School District No. 5 Board of Trustees approved routine consent items and made two staffing and representative appointments at its Sept. 18, 2024 regular meeting.
On a motion by Trustee Joel Bertolino, seconded by Trustee Brad Norman, the board approved the minutes of the Aug. 14, 2024 regular meeting and the Aug. 22, 2024 special meeting. The same motion pattern was used to approve district warrants 50580–50637 and Activity Fund checks 9163–9173; both motions carried unanimously (YES: Swansborough, Dobbel, Bertolino, Norman).
Superintendent Alex Ator recommended hiring Caitlin Oakland as a paraprofessional. Trustee Joel Bertolino moved to approve the hire, Trustee Brad Norman seconded, and the board carried the motion unanimously. The board also named Superintendent Alex Ator as the district representative to the Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services Cooperative 2024–2025 Joint Advisory Board on a motion by Bertolino and seconded by Norman.
The approvals finalize routine financial and personnel business for the district and ensure representation on the regional special-education advisory board for the coming school year. The board set its next regular meeting for Oct. 23, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
