Premier Lakes reports quieter compressor at Masters Lake; plantings on hold pending Edgewater agreement

Bill Kurth, representing Premier Lakes, reported that "the lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are in good shape" and that a cabinet installed around the Masters Lake compressor reduced the sound level "from 64 to 52 decibels," measured halfway between the compressor and the screen line. Kurth said in his opinion that level is acceptable, but Operations Manager Shane Willis noted the issue is not just decibel level but the "tone of the aerator," and staff discussed possibly relocating the compressor within easement constraints.

Kurth and Willis described routine maintenance items (algae control and a removed shoreline palm) and said plantings are scheduled but will be delayed for Lake E4-A until an agreement is reached with the Edgewater Condo Association; Mr. Schultz summarized flooding concerns in Edgewater and recommended meeting with the association's representative. Staff will coordinate with Premier Lakes personnel and report findings at the next meeting.
