Police Chief Blumel presented the police report and requested the vehicle surplus; Harry Green moved to accept the surplus recommendation and Russ Longhurst seconded. The motion carried unanimously. The lone bid for the State Street property was accepted on a motion by Harry Green and seconded by Russ Longhurst; the motion carried unanimously.
Council held the first reading of Ordinance 2024-8 to amend Chapter 50 (Solid Waste Disposal) to impose a $35 mattress disposal fee to offset city disposal costs; the item was presented and held for subsequent readings but was not voted on for final passage.
