Guthrie council approves minutes and July financial report; receives departmental reports

The Guthrie City Council unanimously approved minutes from the July 9 regular meeting and the July 25 special-called meeting and accepted the July 2024 financial report at its Aug. 13 meeting.
Russ Longhurst moved to accept the July 9 minutes; Linda Smith seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Longhurst then moved to accept the July 25 special meeting minutes; Norma Williams seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The July financial report was read and approved on a motion by Longhurst, seconded by Linda Smith, and carried unanimously.
The council also received brief departmental reports: Tim Slade presented the fire report and stated the fire department was fine; Benn Stahl presented the utility report (attached); and Chief Blumel gave the police report (attached). The engineering report contained additional agenda items that led to separate council actions recorded elsewhere in the minutes.
The meeting adjourned at 19:23 following a unanimous motion to adjourn.
