Troy Recreation Board approves $70,000 budget increase and accepts $28,302 donation

At its May 12, 2025 meeting in the Troy GS Cafeteria, the Troy Recreation Board voted to increase its 2025–26 budget by $70,000 and accepted a $28,302.24 donation from Dick Stahl.
The board noted the 2025–26 budget will be published the second week of July and that any changes must be submitted by June 5. Committee member Mike Estes moved to increase the budget by $70,000 for future projects; Committee member Robert Fuemmeler seconded and, with all members present voting in favor, the motion carried.
The meeting also approved a $300 donation for an Alumni Golf event after Committee member Barb Greaser moved the measure and Jim Horner seconded. The board approved purchasing a five-shelf food warmer for the concession stand at an estimated cost of $185; Barb Greaser moved to purchase the warmer, Robert Fuemmeler seconded, and the motion carried. The board agreed to ask the school whether it would cover half the cost.
Separately, the board clarified its summer league donation policy: it will continue to provide one-half of a team'9s entry fee, up to $250 per team, and limit that support to one league per team per sport.
Committee member Robert Fuemmeler moved to accept the $28,302.24 donation from Dick Stahl; Jim Horner seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM; the board scheduled its next meeting for June 9 at 7:00 PM in the Troy GS Cafeteria.
