Troy Recreation Board retains officers, approves finances and ballpark weed-spraying contract

The Troy Recreation Board on March 3 voted to retain its current officers and approved routine expenditures after reviewing financial reports for Nov. 1–Feb. 24.
Barb Greiser moved to retain the existing officers and Jim Horner seconded; the motion carried. The minutes list Mike Estes as president, Barb Greiser as vice president and Robert Fuemmeler as secretary.
During the financial review the board recorded a balance of $144,064, an outstanding parks balance of $4,805, a park commitment of $14,000, a pool commitment of $56,000 and an unencumbered balance of $59,259. The board noted a $3,400 payment to Midwest Ceiling and Construction (purpose to be confirmed with Janel) and a $190.90 payment to Smith Plumbing for a small repair. Robert Fuemmeler moved to approve all other expenditures; Barb Greiser seconded and the motion carried.
The board also approved hiring Urban Lawncare to spray weeds at the ballpark this summer at $190 per service, with a prepaid option of $760 covering four rounds (a 5% discount). Robert Fuemmeler moved to approve the proposed rounds 1–4; Jim Horner seconded and the motion passed unanimously among members present.
The board did not adopt any budget changes at the meeting beyond the approvals noted above. The next meeting is scheduled for April 7 at 6:00 p.m.
