Residents raise sewer tap, drainage and speeding concerns; council tables sewer-tap request

Resident Judy White reported that a ditch behind her home is causing flooding and has led to the loss of trees. Chad Johnson moved to obtain cost estimates to clean out the ditches; Zollie Rose seconded and the motion carried unanimously. White also raised a speeding concern on W Park Street; Sgt. Pinkett said the police would move the speed-enforcement device (referred to in the minutes as the "Speed Machine") to address the problem.
