Residents push for temporary moratorium on data centers; library reopening announced

Tammy Null and Sarah Grady urged the council to consider a moratorium on data center development in Spring Hill and provided/ referenced a letter from State Senator Doug Shane (District 37) requesting such a moratorium. The council did not take action on the request during the meeting; the matter was raised for council awareness and potential staff follow-up.
Jayma Zook, Regional Librarian, announced the Spring Hill Library will reopen on June 3 at 9:00 a.m. and described a planned Extended Access pilot program for patrons. Separately, resident Bill Peterman raised concerns about sidewalk construction at Woodland Crossing and asked the city to keep contractors accountable during projects.
None of the public comments produced immediate formal action at the meeting; staff may place related items on a future agenda as needed.
