St. George’s trims School Road scope after $154,000 overrun; water service lateral contract awarded

Councillor Joe Blanchard is scheduled to attend a May 14, 2026 meeting with the project consultant and contractor to discuss Main Street water upgrades and coordination with the town’s lead hand.
Separately, the town reported the water service laterals contract was awarded to OnGrade Construction; a bid deposit has been received. Staff also said three water leaks were repaired in April (two on Mission Cross Road and one on Old Mill Road), and the Man O War Brook lift station remains awaiting a pump repair.
