Town officials told council on June 9 that the Town has awarded the water service lateral contract to OnGrade Construction and that the Main Street water upgrade project has a planned start date of June 23, 2026. Town Manager Danny Conway and Councillor Joe Blanchard attended a consultant meeting about the Main Street work; council discussed a request for a temporary office trailer for approximately seven to 10 days and suggested the Royal Canadian Legion as a possible site.
Council noted that a water leak on Main Street was repaired the same day. Separately, the Man O' War Brook lift station remains offline awaiting pump repair parts being shipped from Sweden; parts are expected to arrive during the week following the meeting. The stadium committee ordered replacement nets and is awaiting shipping notification.
No contract amendment or additional borrowing was approved at the meeting; council recorded the award of the laterals contract and scheduling information and committed to continuing project coordination with the consultant and town staff.
