White said that when Turf Point Resources previously kept the road locked and watered the dust problem was much less evident, and she suggested the town consider speed bumps or at least reinstating weekend locking. Council members acknowledged other residents share her frustration and described the problem as recurring and disruptive.
Mayor Conrad White and other councillors directed town staff to contact Turf Point Resources and Atlas Salt to arrange a formal meeting to discuss remedies. Council members also raised dust‑suppression options such as applying calcium to the road surface and agreed to pursue conversations with the companies that use the road to seek practical solutions.
The council did not adopt a specific remedial measure at the meeting; it committed to follow up with the companies and report back to council after the formal meeting.
